AUSDRILL CHILE SELECTS ROCKMORE DRILLING TOOLS

The premiere drill and blast contractor in Chile, Ausdrill Chile, specializing
in surface and exploration drilling, has entered an exclusive supply partnership
agreement with Rockmore International for drilling tools used in production drilling.
Ausdrill Chile is a subsidiary of Ausdrill Limited - based in Perth, Australia
and is established as a global drill / blast and exploration contractor. The
Chilean operation was established in the Andean dominated country of Chile in
1992. With a rapid start and involvement in several large scale drilling projects,
Ausdrill Chile soon became the region’s premiere contractor for drill and
blast projects related to mining and civil engineering work.
Presently, the company holds major contracts in exploration and production drilling
projects. In its work related to production surface drilling, Ausdrill Chile owns
eight top-hammer drill rigs that employ the latest drilling technology and controls.
In its effort to maximize drilling efficiency and advance productivity, the company
was determined to select the best long-term solution for their drilling tool
requirements. Ausdrill Chile set forth a well-executed selection process for
choosing a brand of rock drilling tools to satisfy their stringent requirements f
or quality, service, and dependability.
After qualifying various suppliers on key selection criteria, Ausdrill Chile has
chosen Rockmore as their exclusive supplier of top hammer drilling tools for their
Chilean operations. Rockmore International is a global manufacturer of rock drilling
tools with production facilities in the USA and Austria and with exports to over 40
countries. Viewed within a context of a supply partnership, Rockmore has been required
to provide all top hammer drilling consumables - bits, rods, couplings, shank adapters
- to Ausdrill Chile for production drilling requirements. Rockmore will also provide
technical and applications support to maximize drilling productivity for the various
projects at hand.
